K. J. Gillenwater has a B.A. in English and Spanish from Valparaiso University and an M.A. in Latin American Studies from University of California, Santa Barbara. She worked as a Russian linguist in the U.S. Navy, spending time at the National Security Agency doing secret things. After six years of service, she ended up as a technical writer in the software industry. She has lived all over the U.S. and currently resides in Wyoming with her family where she works as a proposal manager for a tribal firm and squeezes in fiction writing when she can. She writes everything from romance to suspense to science fiction. 

Britney Dehnert is an indie author of mystery, poetry, devotional, and fantasy books. She loves variety, nature, teaching, and sharing what God is doing in her life. She also deeply appreciates her husband, who runs the marketing side of their business.

Matt Daly is a poet who has called Jackson Hole home for most of his life. He believes whole-heartedly that poetry makes things better, and he engages in all sorts of projects with poets and other artists to try to do some good in the world. Matt is the co-founder of Write to Thrive (www.writetothrive.net), an enterprise that brings reflective and creative writing practices to individuals and professional groups to cultivate creativity, community, and wellbeing. 

Helen M. Pugsley comes from a small town of 20 in eastern Wyoming, but currently resides in Laramie. She has been writing since she was a teenager, and has published three novels titled War and Chess, Tales from the Gishlan Wood, and The Tooth Fairy. When she’s not writing she wonders around aimlessly on the search for fruit. 

Dean Petersen is the author of two dark Wyoming-based novels, The Burqa Cave and Black Cloaks in the basement of The Welterscheid Place. Inspired by Stephen King and lots of horror movies Dean loves sharing the scary side of The Cowboy State. 

Jeannette Woodward is a former Fremont County Library Director, active in several nonprofits, and an undisciplined writer. 

Taylar Dawn Stagner (Arapaho and Shoshone) is a writer who's work has appeared in High Country News Magazine, Wyoming Public Radio, The Modern West Podcast, and National Public Radio. She writes about the effects of colonization, climate change, and gender. 

Jacqueline Fellows is a former professor of Classics with research interests in Greek epic and tragedy who now writes fantasy novels. She is named after a grandmother who could (reportedly) levitate tables. 

Becki Neidens, along with her husband and two children, is the lucky caretaker of a remote ranch on the edge of the wilderness outside of Dubois. She writes about the challenges and triumphs her family encounters living such an adventurous lifestyle with no neighbors nearby. 

Kelli Gard is a Culinary Teacher by day and avid reader/writer at night. Although she only has one published book, the number of unfinished stories on her laptop could fill thousand of pages.

Author Nona Schrader's experiences growing up in Lander fostered her love of the Wind River Mountains. Her novel, Aqua, is a call to action that will inspire humans to protect clean water on our planet. 

Cheryl Fallin M.D. is a pediatrician, author, wife, and mother who lives in rural Wyoming. She is a Colorado Gold Rush Awards Winner for her novel SERAPH. Her previously published works include poems, newsletter articles, and a newspaper column titled What’s up Doc. Two of her short stories, “The Greatest Gift” and “Let Freedom Ring,” were originally published in Speculative Fiction Writer’s Anthologies: Joy to the Worlds and Second Law. When not writing or working, she loves adventure traveling with her husband and family throughout the United States, Mexico, Central America, and Europe. 

J.S. Baehr is an experienced author with 4 published nonfiction works under the pen name Paula Jean Ferri. Now she is combining her love of history, novels, and Tourette syndrome to tell unknown and forgotten stories. 

Marcia is a transplant from Oklahoma who fell in love with Wyoming while working in

Yellowstone as a college student. She is a graduate of the University of Tulsa (B.A. 1964; M.A.1966) and started her teaching career in Tulsa. In 1983 Hensley moved to Rock Springs, Wyoming where she taught writing courses and Western American Literature at Western Wyoming Community College. Learning about the landscape and history of southwest Wyoming during her nearly thirty years living there with her husband Mike was an ongoing adventure that inspired her writing. Marcia and Mike lived in and loved their lives in southwest Wyoming, especially their rural home in Eden Valley close to the Oregon Trail. Currently, Marcia is enjoying small-town life and getting to know the landscape and people of southeast Wyoming on the opposite side of the state, in Laramie.

Marcia is the recipient of the Wyoming Arts Council’s Neltj Blanchan award for writing inspired by nature. Her essays have been published in several anthologies, High Country News, Wyofile, and in the syndicated column “Writers on the Range.” In 1909, her non-fiction book, Staking Her Claim, Women Homesteading the West won awards from the Mountains and Plains Independent Booksellers Association as well as from Women Writing the West, Wyoming Writers, Wyoming Historical Society, and ForeWord Magazine.

Originally from Tucson, Arizona, Betsy Bernfeld is a writer, librarian, and lawyer in Jackson Hole, Wyoming. She is the recipient of the Wyoming Arts Council's 2020 Creative Writing Fellowship for poetry. She is author of two books of poetry, and her first novel will be published later this year. 

Lane was born and raised in Lander. When not writing, he also enjoys reading and gardening. 

Natalie Callum is a writer and poet living in Wyoming. When she is not writing, she can be found outside free climbing and exploring with her much beloved husband. 

Carol L. Deering was born and grew up in New England, and moved to Wyoming over half a lifetime ago. 

Clark McCauley is a political psychologist who retired from teaching in order to have more time to write. He works on group conflict, genocide, and terrorism. 

Dallin Cooper is an award-winning speaker who works with businesses, educators, and students to help them develop emotional maturity and social awareness to eliminate conflict and build relationships of trust. 

Raised in Jackson and introduced to climbing at a young age. It took me all over the world and made me into a story teller. I live in Lander with my wife and three dogs. 

Lives in Lander, Wyoming and loves Sci-Fi/Fantasy. Is happiest with a good book and a cup of coffee. 

Karen King was born in Longmont, CO; raised in Boulder; lived/worked with tribal people/programs for over 40 years in AK, WY, and DC. Life-long learner: visited 7 continents and 116 countries; writes grants, songs, fiction novels, kiddy lit, and technical non-fiction materials. Loves living in God’s Country on the Wind River Reservation.

Ami is happy to have followed where the idea to connect local readers and local writers in Wyoming has taken her and Bookmarked. She writes a bit of this and a bit of that and is alwasy reading at least two books. 

Sarah is a former English teacher who writes whatever comes to mind at any given time. She has published two children's chapter books, two thrillers, one creative non-fiction,  one writing workbook for middle-grade students, and numerous articles for a variety of news and health publications. She fills in her time as a freelance editor and a disability advocate. 

Besides teaching 7th Grade Language Arts in Riverton, Alma Law bakes and rockhounds, and tends to his backyard chickens while traveling as much as he can fit in. That would do a great job of capturing his life if he didn't also love hiking and camping and throwing dinner parties with game nights. His personal spiritual journey makes a study of adventures and friendship building. 

Myra L. Peak writes poetry and fiction and is in progress on a novel about her experiences as a coal mine foreman. She received a 2007 Fellowship in Poetry from the Wyoming Arts Council for a group of poems related to coal mining.
